THE PROCESS-ACCOUNTABILITY & COMPLIANCE
To provide customer assurance and peace of mind, Data Recycling NE accounts for every hard drive, including documentation, as requested.
- Some businesses require only a total count of hard drives submitted and processed This is cross-checked with the customers’ records for accuracy.
- Hospitals, medical and other professional service offices have more stringent regulations, including HIPPA compliance. Data Recycling NE scans the serial number of every hard drive provided, submits it to the client for verification, and with approval of the document, proceeds with hard drive shredding.
We will discuss your specific needs when you call, in advance of the scheduled hard drive shredding at your location.
CONVENIENCE
Clients decide whether to watch the hard drive shredding process outside, at a safe distance, and weather permitting. We also provide a tablet to clients who choose to watch from the convenience of their offices; a camera captures the process for real-time of on-demand viewing.
Why should businesses worry about data on computers and other devices?
Customers’ lists, price lists, sales statistics, drafts of bids, simple correspondence, and even memos, contain information about business activity which would interest any competitor. Every business is also entrusted with information that must be kept private. Employees and customers have the legal right to have this data protected. Without the proper safeguards, information ends up in the dumpster where it is readily, and legally, available to anybody.
The trash is considered by business espionage professionals as the single most available source of competitive and private information from the average business. Any establishment that discards without destroying private and proprietary data, is exposed to the risk of criminal and civil prosecution, as well as the costly loss of business.
