For Attleboro Residential Units 1 – 8 that participate in the City’s trash program

This page is designed specifically for Attleboro residents to simplify curbside pickup of electronics and metal items. As the city’s long-standing recycling partner, we provide safe and compliant collection of approved materials every Friday. This page outlines what we can collect, what needs special preparation, and how to schedule your pickup quickly and easily.

Get Ready for your Curbside Pick Up

This service is only available to Attleboro residential units 1–8 that participate in the City’s trash program.

This program covers both metal items and electronics. See notes below for TVs, electronics, small engines, appliances, and metal items requiring preparation.

General Preparation Rules

  • Items must be curbside by 7:00 AM on your collection day

  • Items must be placed where your trash is normally collected

  • We cannot enter onto private property (porches, garages, backyards, etc.)

Corner Lots

If you live on a corner, please specify which street your items will be placed on when leaving your voicemail request.

Televisions

Large Items

  • Anything over 8 ft in length (basketball hoops, long metal rails, etc.) must be broken down into smaller pieces.

Lawn Mowers, Engines & Gas Items

  • We accept small engines and lawn mowers only if all gas and oil are removed

Fuel Tanks & Pressurized Cylinders (Not Accepted)

  • We cannot take any fuel tank, gas/oil container, or pressurized cylinder of any type (including propane tanks, CO₂ tanks, or fire extinguishers), even if empty.

Metal Items

  • Items should be mostly metal (≈80%+)

  • Items with mixed materials are fine if metal is the primary component

  • If unsure, call and ask before placing the item out (see examples below of accepted items)

Motorized Recliners - (We handle Motor Removal Only)

  • Leave the recliner curbside

  • Our crew will remove the motor and electronic components

  • You will be contacted once removal is complete

  • Pickups occur throughout the day — no specific time window is available

  • If you call the voicemail line, the pickup date will be announced on the recording before you leave your message

  • If you submit the online form, you will receive an automatic email reply with your scheduled pickup date

Frequently Asked Questions for Attleboro Residential Pick Up

Do you take metal from swing sets, basketball hoops, etc.?

Yes, as long as the pieces are broken down and mostly metal.

How do you handle couches, recliners, and powered recliners?

We can only take the metal parts. Upholstered furniture must be disposed of through Attleboro’s bulky-waste program.
For powered recliners, the motor and metal components can be removed either by you or by our crew when the item is placed curbside. Once the motor is removed, the furniture frame can be picked up through the town’s bulky-waste program.

Do you take storm doors with glass?

Yes — storm doors and metal-framed glass doors can be collected.

Do I need a sticker for anything besides TVs?

For residents not in the city trash program, you need to purchase a sticker for every item — contact the Attleboro Health Department for clarification.

What happens if my item wasn’t picked up?

Call the pickup line and leave your address and phone number.
We’ll reschedule your pickup as soon as possible.

Can I leave items in my driveway, porch, or garage?

No — all items must be curbside. We cannot enter private property.

Do you offer electronics recycling for Attleboro businesses?

Yes — Data Recycling of New England provides electronics recycling services for businesses in Attleboro.
